About Art
Art, in general, and music, in particular, are among the fundamental layers and foundational pillars of culture.
Art, in its entirety, reveals and embodies the essence of humanity and the limitless dimensions of the human soul. In truth, it is through art that human beings are defined and understood. It can be said that art is a reflection of human nature, and all people are inherently created as artists and lovers of art. However, the expression of artistic qualities varies among individuals, and this diversity showcases the beauty and richness of the many forms and dimensions of art.
Art encompasses other significant disciplines as well, including calligraphy, painting, architecture, sculpture, and especially the performing arts. Although the seed of art is planted within every human being’s nature, its flourishing and full development undoubtedly require education and, more profoundly, the cultivation of inner sensitivity.
The Amir Khusrow Balkhi Cultural and Artistic Foundation is dedicated to advancing the cause of committed and purposeful art with renewed vigor.
Relevant Institutions of the Amir Khusrow Balkhi Foundation
The Amir Khusrow Balkhi Cultural and Artistic Foundation, to enhance the quality and advance the specialized development of its cultural and artistic activities, has established affiliated institutions. Each of these institutions operates independently with a specialized focus, aiming to effectively address the needs and harness the potential of its respective field.
To date, the Foundation has launched three active institutions, each playing a significant and influential role in various cultural and artistic arenas.
This specialized and structured approach allows each institution to focus on its specific objectives, enabling the Foundation to maintain an active and impactful presence across diverse cultural and artistic domains.
Immigrants Art House
The Immigrants Art House is a shared artistic center for migrant artists, including Afghans and other foreign artists, established in January 2024 by the Amir Khusrow Balkhi Cultural and Artistic Foundation with the aim of developing and expanding artistic activities across various fields.
Farabi World Music Foundation
The Farabi World Music Foundation is an artistic and research institution composed of a group of artists and music scholars who, focusing on the scientific and artistic legacy of Abu Nasr Farabi, work on rediscovering, promoting, and teaching the fundamentals of classical world music.
Radio Kabul 1354
The launch of Radio Kabul 1354, the first virtual radio broadcasting in the Dari dialect in Iran in 2018 (1397), was the Amir Khusrow Balkhi Foundation’s inaugural initiative. This effort aims to contribute to the reconstruction of the cultural identity of young migrants and to familiarize them with their cultural and artistic heritage.

Women’s Music
One of the core and prominent programs of the Amir Khusrow Balkhi Cultural and Artistic Foundation in the field of music has been creating a suitable environment for the activity and education of women, especially in the domain of authentic and traditional Afghan music. This segment of the artistic community, due to cultural and social limitations and barriers, requires special support and dedicated platforms to nurture and showcase their talents.
"Harmony of Lal and Firuzeh" – A Cultural Collaboration between Afghan and Iranian Artists
One of the ongoing initiatives of the Amir Khusrow Balkhi Foundation is a joint musical and artistic collaboration between Afghan and Iranian artists.
This program, which has recently begun, is envisioned to expand across Iran in collaboration with cultural institutions, art organizations, and with the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
