"Harmony of Lal and Firuzeh" – A Cultural Collaboration between Afghan and Iranian Artists
One of the ongoing initiatives of the Amir Khusrow Balkhi Foundation is a joint musical and artistic collaboration between Afghan and Iranian artists.
This program, which has recently begun, is envisioned to expand across Iran in collaboration with cultural institutions, art organizations, and with the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The significance of this initiative is deeply felt today—more than ever—in fostering cultural proximity, mutual understanding, and shared artistic empathy, especially among the younger generation.
The first performance under the title "Harmony of Lal and Firuzeh" was held in France, featuring Homayoun Sakhi—the world-renowned Rubab virtuoso and member of the Amir Khusrow Balkhi Foundation—alongside celebrated Iranian musician Sohrab Pournazeri and Afghan artist Siar Hashemi.
