The first virtual radio in Dari in Iran
Established: 2018
The Amir Khusrow Balkhi Foundation has taken pioneering steps in the field of audio-visual media, with the aim of expanding its influence and outreach.
In today's world, media is the ultimate voice—it speaks for nations, preserves identities, and amplifies the unheard. A society without media lacks both a voice and a message.
The launch of Radio Kabul 1354 as a virtual platform marked the Foundation’s first initiative in media. This radio station broadcasts authentic selections of traditional Afghan music alongside religious programs on various cultural and spiritual occasions. Through this work, it strives to contribute to the preservation and revival of cultural identity among young Afghan immigrants, helping them reconnect with their artistic and cultural heritage.
Since its establishment, Radio Kabul 1354 has trained a significant number of enthusiastic youth—including university students—in broadcasting, particularly in Farsi Dari. Many of these individuals have gone on to collaborate with other media outlets, becoming voices for their communities.
Training in Voice Acting and Public Speaking in Farsi Dari
With the rapid growth of audio-visual media and the expanding role of digital communication, there is a clear need for skilled presenters who can speak fluently and effectively in Farsi Dari.
This ongoing series of training workshops aims to nurture a new generation of young and passionate speakers. Through recitation of literary texts and performance in various formats, participants are encouraged to promote moral, cultural, and spiritual values—reviving the tradition of eloquent public speaking and media presence within the Afghan immigrant community.
