Afghanistan Culture & Arts House at the International Food Festival, Mashhad, Iran

The booth of the Afghanistan Culture & Arts House attracted the largest number of visitors at the festival — including renowned figures from the fields of culture, literature, arts, sports, and media, as well as senior Iranian government officials. Crowds of enthusiastic visitors, from children and teenagers to the elderly, gathered from near and far, enduring the cold weather to enjoy live performances by Afghan musicians and share joyful moments through the melodies of their homeland.

World Refugee Day | Conference on Afghanistan’s National Music Day

On the occasion of World Refugee Day 2022, a conference titled “Watan-e-Mehr” (Affection for Homeland) was held on June 20, 2022, at Mashhad City Hall. The event was organized by BAFIA, UNHCR in Mashhad, and Afghan community organizations based in the city.

On the occasion of World Refugee Day, the Amir Khusrow Balkhi Foundation organized the first “Afghanistan National Music Day” conference as part of the “Watan-e-Mehr” exhibition, with the aim of preserving and reviving the art of music that has been banned in Afghanistan.

Nowruzgah Ceremony | Nowruz Celebration 2022 at Ferdowsi Tomb

Shahnameh recitation in Dari dialect by the announcers of Radio Kabul 1354 and musicians of the Amir Khusrow Balkhi Foundation during the “Nowruzgah” Nowruz celebration of 2022 at Ferdowsi Tomb.

The event was attended by high-ranking officials from Khorasan Razavi province and featured cultural booths from neighboring countries including Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Turkmenistan.

Silent Voices of Art | A Panel Discussion Addressing the Situation of Afghan Music Artists

The Amir Khusrow Balkhi Foundation held its 22nd cultural, artistic, and educational session in 2021 titled “Silent Voices of Art.”

This session took place on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the Ghadir Cultural Center in Mashhad, with the participation of cultural figures, artists, and writers from Afghanistan and Iran. The event aimed to address the dire situation of art and artists—particularly Afghan musicians—in Mashhad.
